Lennox Farms follows conventional growing practices.
In 1881, Edward French immigrated to Canada from England. What began as a small market garden operation in Etobicoke soon grew to a much larger 30 acre farm with multiple greenhouses.
In 1963, they incorporated the farm as Lennox Farms. During the intervening years, family members returned to keep farming, including Clarence and his son Bill (who was a founding Ontario Winter Rhubarb Growers Association).
In 1988, son Brian and his wife Jeanette moved back to the farm to continue the family operation. Nowadays, they have a 500 acre farm, and are one of the only forced rhubarb growers left in Ontario, operating out of 10,000 sq ft warehouse.
